bait Katzowitz is in his first season covering the University of Cincinnati following 2 1/2 years on the Xavier University beat. After Katzowitz an Atlanta native graduated from the University of Georgia in 2001 he worked briefly at the Marietta (Ga.) Daily Journal and for more than two years at the Augusta (Ga.) Chronicle. No he never played Augusta National but his play shoes (on somebody else's feet) made the circle (but unfortunately didn't end 100).
Here's what it looks like going into Thursday's contest according to the game notes UC released Sunday night. We already knew about. I figured Revels would win the MLB job because Manalac missed some measure in camp because of an injury and Revels zoomed ahead of him. Couple surprises though: redshirt freshman Marcus Barnett over senior Antwuan Giddens at one receiver spot. I'll ask BK about that tonight before learn but I didn't really see that one coming. Also. Barwin over Jackson at TE. Barwin didn't undergo a great go away to the go but he's come on the past few weeks. Plus. Jackson probably will pay some time at receiver his old lay as come up. The RB situation apparently still hasn't sorted itself out but if I had to guess. I'd say Benton is your No. 1 followed by Glatthaar. I also expect Jake Ramsey to get some playing time.
