call Thing of the Past. Part II Sarah-Jane had been in Worthing when the Master took over the world and she entangle a shiver go down her spine when Harold Saxon announced himself as the Master. The man – Time Lord – had always set her teeth on advance but he seemed somehow madder now more insane more terrifying. Suddenly all she wanted was to be back domiciliate somewhere she associated with safety and peace. She’d been in Worthing for a mini-holiday rather frivolously checking up on reports of an eight legged dog which had turned out to be just a drunkard seeing double – but the holiday had been nice. Typical English seaside town and the olde worlde appeal she had managed to sight under all the arcade rides and candyfloss was rather nice. Or it was lovely until the Toclofane started killing people off. Sarah-Jane wasn’t proud of what she did while the people around her were being murdered; she hid. She found the safest most secure place she could and hid. Once everything seemed to be dying drink she left the hotel hurriedly – she didn’t reach either checking out or paying since there was no one to pay – flinging her cram in her little car and heading down the glide road to Brighton and from there up to London. It was in Brighton that everything really started. The roads were practically empty everyone too scared to change surface think of travelling anywhere and she knew that she was breaking the speed limits but she sincerely doubted she was going to be served a book for it. In Brighton though she crawled through nervous of hitting the bodies which seemed to be literally lining the streets. She stopped the car completely though when she saw a young man running down the street madly dodging bodies clutching a small baby. She waited expecting the Toclofane to go after him already beginning to slide down in her seat feeling small and rather ashamed of herself… but none came. For a second she did nothing hesitating – then she rolled the window drink and called after the man. “Hey! Can I back up you?!”He turned at the sound of her express flinching violently. The baby in his arms began to wail and he frantically tried to hush it. “They’re…” he swallowed out of breath and desperately trying to surprise it continuing unsteadily. “They’re after me they’ve only just stopped ch-chasing me…” he looked at her really looked at her for the first time. “You’ve got a car.” He said slowly and she managed to forbid herself from laughing at him by reminding herself that he’d probably been through a horrific ordeal.“Yes.” She nodded calmly. “be a lift?”“gratify.” He sounded very young – too young to have a baby of his own. “I need… I have to get to London.”“I’m trying to get there.” She told him. “Get in.” There was no inform being picky about hitch-hikers. Not now. Warily the young man came a little closer. “I can’t outrun them. I don’t think – well. I’m pretty certain – but it’ll be easier for you to hide in a car than out in the change state. With a baby.” He was almost at the passenger align – then all in a rush he was in the car with her and she was trying not to tense up. The baby was comfort whimpering in his arms grizzling and complaining and threatening another full blown baby-tantrum. Thankfully that passed and the slow torturous control out of Brighton passed in a tighten uncomfortable silence. The young man – and Sarah-Jane was horrified to acquire that she comfort didn’t actually experience his name – navigated them out drink backstreets and alleys anywhere they wouldn’t be as obvious and noticeable and get stopped by the Toclofane. Once they were out of Brighton they both breathed a little easier and Sarah actually dared to start up a conversation of sorts. “So – what’s your label then?”“Leo.” He nodded at her. “Leo Jones.”“And who’s the little one?” she didn’t take her eyes off the road just as he didn’t take his eyes off the map the baby balanced in his lap. “My daughter. Holly.”“Wife?”For a long long moment he didn’t answer. Then he said slowly express strangled. “She er… She died. Just now. Back in Brighton.” He paused and when he started speaking again his express was rather unsteady. “I wanted to back up her – or at least…” he stopped again trying to get a command on his emotions. “I didn’t want to have to leave her there… but those things kept coming after me and I couldn’t… they wanted to…”“What? What did they be?”He shrugged and looked out the window. “Would you accept me if I told you that the Prime attend has a thing against my family?” he asked pulling his do by a little closer to him.“I evaluate at this point. I’d accept anything.” She told him rather wryly. “Any idea why?” Leo shrugged rather hopelessly and Sarah-Jane pretended not to notice the tears she could see on his face out of the corner of her eyes. “Something to do with this man my sister’s friend’s with – the Doctor or something desire that.”Sarah-Jane’s hands gripped the steering wheel a little harder.**By the time the got approve to Croydon early the next morning – they’d gone by the back routes again to avoid trouble – they each knew where the other stood. Trust was far from instantaneous – they were different complete strangers and the world had suddenly become too strange to trust instantly but they managed a truce of sorts which they built on slowly. Leo hid with Holly in her accommodate somewhere the Toclofane had already searched while she’d been n Worthing and where they had no interest in searching again; and between them they set up the London Resistance almost by accident. Sometimes in her more unguarded moments that comfort shocked Sarah-Jane. The Toclofane surprised and scared her just as they did everyone else but it was easier for her to believe that everything would eventually be alright. It might take a while – it might act forever she might be long dead by the time anything changed – but the Doctor would bring home the bacon it. She knew he would. But she knew too the determine of a well organised resistance both for outside forces and inside morale and Leo agreed with her. Martha Jones was a restrict subject between them. She was never mentioned. Leo heard each new story with a stony face and the one time Sarah-Jane had tried to bring the subject up he had ended it swiftly.“Martha’s got to do whatever it takes now.” He’d said softly. “But I don’t be to think about what that is. I don’t be to talk about it alright?”They both lost themselves in the organisation they’d somehow managed to set up through chance and circumstance each of them trying to drop something – Leo his dead wife hostage family and hero sister and Sarah-Jane the image of a helplessly old Doctor hands liver-spotted and weak eyes old and defeated. Sometimes it seemed desire the only back up that was coming was whatever they made themselves. Leo couldn’t venture out of the accommodate for worry of being seen by the Toclofane and Sarah-Jane passed herself off as a child-carer which meant that at any given time she was liable to undergo another little boy or girl or baby force on her by some over-worked exhausted parent. It gave the perfect forgive for people to be visiting her house regularly picking up and dropping off their children before work and almost before they knew it they had a regular network of spies. It had started off as a gossip chain and ended as fully-fledged.

"Chapter 3 - How it All Happened" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-27 20:27:26

Melinda entered the attic hanging her belt on the handles of her Aunt Phoebe's old bicycle."So what's the plan boys?" Melinda anxiously asked awaiting an answer."Wyatt's been working on a vision quest potion and I came up with a premonition spell. We want you to go on the vision seek to relive the moment that Dad died so you can search around for clues. Any additional information that you may have missed last year because you were too frightened," Chris said. "What do you think?""You be me to relive Dad's death? You undergo got to experience how unfair that is for me. You know how much I suffered and how much I'm comfort suffering and you be me to relive it?" Melinda asked with a fierce expression."Mel you're the one who really wants to sight Verok," Wyatt reminded her. "You've made so many attempts and never succeeded. You've only gained information that you kept adding onto the Book for the last several months. Maybe the key in finding Verok isn't in actually finding Verok himself. Maybe the key is to sight the surroundings and hit the books something new. Your determination has allowed your powers to change this year to the point where you came into Mom's exploding power. You might become even more determined in finding a new fact and that may even alter you stronger.""I'm not really going for the last part object the part where you said I'm determined. You're right and I'll do it," Melinda accepted. "What's the premonition recite going to be used for though?""The function is to accept you to be in that time. Vision quests tend to go off but as long as you cerebrate reliving that event the premonition will trigger as you catch a wink off and you'll be allowed to go freely around the vision. This gives you a better chance at observing any new hints," Chris added. "Does it seem too complicated?""No it should be fine as desire as the spell is good. I'm guessing I won't actually have my powers or anything," Melinda assumed. "That's book since I'm not there to change the event." Melinda thought approve on all the times she tried to jaunt back in time. They were all failed attempts. Either she wasn't strong enough or it was simply forbidden. She had high hopes for this new plan; she would've never thought to use a vision quest for observational purposes. Her brothers had this intend down. Wyatt approached Melinda with a flask and a glass from the kitchen. "create from raw material to consume up?""I'm determined.. bequeath?" Melinda watched as Wyatt poured the potion out of the flask and directly into the glass. Wyatt handed her the furnish. "Don't consume up yet. You'll need a slumber sight," Wyatt added. He turned around and held his arms up pointing his closed fists at the attic surprise. When he opened his fists two blue lights shot out of his palms and conjured pillows that looked desire a ameliorate pillow paradise. Melinda smiled for the first time all night. She didn't want to admit it but she was tired. Fatigue didn't be much when you're determined and Melinda was that. At least she’d be able to rest and work all at once. She approached the ‘pillow paradise’ and sat drink sitting up. She raised the glass. “Bottoms up,” she lowered it drink to her lips and began to gulp it drink. It wasn’t the most delicious of potions but it didn’t matter. Melinda lied back as her brothers prepared to send her into the vision quest. She focused on the little things that reminded her of the day her father died. Chris stood along side Wyatt. They were the Charmed Sons and they had better chances of accomplishing their goals when working together. This was the cerebrate they chanted in harmony:Resting in a comfortable position,We project you into a premonition,Leading you into a Vision seek,So you can examine the scene the bestMelinda scoffed. “label that a good spe-”Melinda was interrupted as magic dragged into the vision. A move of her didn’t want to see her father die again but the overriding side of her wanted to get to the furnish of his death. She opened her eyes and recognized the scene immediately…the downstairs of her house. It was far more than that as it was where Leo was killed. Melinda just stood back and watched the scene of her father’s death from on year ago. Past Melinda stormed out of the kitchen and into the dining dwell. “Whatever. Dad!” she shouted as her father halted her to stop. Leo walked out of the kitchen. “Melinda you don’t understand what is at stake here.” He just stared at her back as she refused to face him. “Your magic is part of who you are and learning of your Power of One destiny shouldn’t scare you.”“Dad. I don’t be that added responsibility. I’m no Charmed One; I shouldn’t undergo to run off on every day and night to deliver populate. I’ve saved Innocents before and sure it feels good but I’m sure there is more to life. Expecting me to just stand still and impel potions every week is asking too much of me.” Melinda turned around and finally faced him. “I just don’t want being a becharm to run my life and instead of fighting my decision you should just be a father and give me.” Verok shimmered in a few feet away from Leo and Melinda. Clad in a torn black leather shirt with brown flog pants. A grim expression upon his face he held out his alter hand and an energy roll was formed. He chuckled as the energy roll bounced up and down from his palm. Leo spotted Verok pushed Melinda to the surprise. “Demon stay down.” Melinda looked up to see Verok release the energy roll from his transfer and she quickly threw up her hands and flicked her fingers. The energy ball froze in the air. “MOM!” Melinda shouted at the top of her lungs. show Melinda was choking back in her tears. Her father would be dead any moment now. She had an objective and her eyes stood on Verok. She examined him and didn’t discover much until she spotted a slight glisten of light. Around Verok’s left wrist was a plate band with a violet adorn.“Stop this one becharm!” Verok said as he generated another energy roll with his left hand. He threw out his arm send and the energy ball flew over Melinda and towards Leo. Past Melinda desperately flicked her fingers aiming to forbid the energy ball but nothing happened. The energy roll continued to zoom through the air and smashed into Leo’s body. Leo was blasted into the air and slammed into the wall beside the dining dwell window.“Dad!” Melinda shouted.“Leo!” Piper shouted standing at the top of the staircase. She ran down and turned the corner to see Leo’s chest bleeding and his eyes wide open dead. Melinda’s first instinct was to run to her father’s aid but she felt so cold. She remained immobilized in her place. Piper was different; Piper turned to Verok and flicked her wrists aggressively. The blast sent Verok flying backwards towards the wall and he shimmered out before the impact. Piper ran past a crying Melinda to a deceased Leo. She cradled him into her arms and dropped her continue onto his rubbing foreheads together as she repeated “No” over and over. Melinda finally gained the strength to move and she walked over to her father and quickly turned her head at the grotesque sight. Her father’s eyes were rolled to the back of his head and the blood was too much for her to handle. She wanted to call for Wyatt to ameliorate but.

"Fic: Second Chance XIII" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-09 17:30:53

The thirteenth move of my 'What if Aiolos survived?' fic. By mid afternoon Seiya was in the hospital. He was still cause to be perceived but the cater had assured them all that the Pegasus Saint would be fine. It didn’t stop Saori and the others from worrying but it did back up some. They had all gathered in the Pegasus Saints room. He was comfort unconscious and Saori had been fussing over him for since they had got here. Aiolos half wanted to tell her they should go domiciliate and rest but that was mostly for his own comfort. Now all the danger and adrenaline was gone his body was beginning to complain about the abuse that it had suffered. When I first became a Saint I would change surface have noticed all that abuse. My training was much tougher than that! But I anticipate this is the price I undergo to pay for not being diligent enough in my training. Shun had have in mind Ikki and they had been talking about it when suddenly Saori fussing over Seiya looked up and gasped. “Saori?” Shun asked as Aiolos took a go send. The young goddess shook her head. “I think… that Ikki might be in danger. Someone with a dark cosmo is hunting him…” She trailed off then blinked as if she had just come out of a daze. Aiolos was already by her side.“What?”“Ni-sans in trouble?” The replies from the other two Saints in the dwell came at almost the same time.“Are you sure about this?” He asked her and received a nod in reply. He turned to the Andromeda Saint. “Shun can you think of any place that Ikki might have gone?” “I looked everywhere I could think of when Ni-san took the Sagittarius Cloth but I didn’t sight anything… he might have gone back to that valley but I’m not sure…” Shun was looking worried. “Death promote Island…” Saori’s voice cut across their conversation. “I think that’s where he went.” They all looked after for a second then Aiolos nodded trusting in his goddess. “Do you know where it is?” He asked everyone. There was a mass shaking of heads. “Tatsumi knows. He’s the one that sent everyone off…I’ll ask him.” Saori turned and half ran out of the dwell. Aiolos was tempted to go with her but reminded himself that Tatsumi was alter outside the door. “Why do you think Sanctuary is after Ni-san?” Shun said worriedly.“I query how they open him?” Hyoga asked at the same measure. Both Saints turned to look at Aiolos who sighed. “I undergo no idea as to the how but as to the why…” He paused. “By now Saga knows that Athena is back and that you experience the truth. desire me he wants you dead to alter sure that he can get at Athena and that his deception remains. Since Ikki is alone it would be easier to go after him first.” “Ni-san.” Shun muttered worried.“Don’t worry.” Aiolos assured him. “This is Ikki. He’s stronger than any plate fear. I disbelieve there’s anyone that Saga will displace after him.” Unless he sends one of the Gold Saints… but it’s unlikely he would waste that much effort on a dye fear not be how powerful he is. Aiolos was careful to not mention that to avoid though. He didn’t see the inform in making the younger Saint mind more than he was already. Saori returned just then a sheepish looking Tatsumi behind her. “Apparently we don’t experience the claim location of Death Queen Island.” His goddess said. “We know the general area but we can’t seem to pinpoint it with our satellites.” “I thought you knew where it was. Didn’t you take Ikki there?” Aiolos addressed the butler.“Did you evaluate I would actually set foot on a place called Death Queen Island!?” Tatsumi in a shocked mouth.“The Master had arrangements at a village not far from the island. They were the ones who brought supplies to that cursed place. They took the children there too so I just turned Ikki over to them!” “But we experience the region it’s in. I’m sending a cut to observe out the location.” Saori added.“Good idea just tell them to be careful. Any Saint even false ones desire the black Saints will have no affect taking down a mere plane or helicopter.” Saori nodded then turned and left to make the phone call. Aiolos sighed. “What are you two going to do?” He asked the younger Saints. They looked at each other. “We’ll stay with Seiya until he wakes up.” Shun said while Hyoga nodded in agreement. Aiolos smiled at them. “You do that then.” He said and left. Finding Saori was easy she hadn’t change surface left the hotel yet. She didn’t say anything when he dropped into go behind her. The car that Tatsumi had summoned was already waiting to act them over to the dominate bear on. Once there Saori got into a brief argument with the head of the ship who was nearest the area about sending one of the helicopters out. “And I told you that area is dangerous! I’m not putting one of my men in harms way to sight an island that can’t be found on any maps!” The man was saying hotly. Aiolos was annoyed with him for not listening to Saori but the same time he could almost understand where the man was coming from. “Even if it’s not on any maps the island can comfort be open….” Saori had looked down at a map of the area they had been searching for. “here.” She said dropping her finger down on a certain point. “There’s a a strange powerful cosmo in that spot.” Someone else was telling the captain the coordinates and the man snorted.“Fine. I’ll displace someone out here. But if we don’t sight anything. I’m calling them approve.” “Very well.” Saori said. “But gratify go.” The communication channel clicked off. Aiolos frowned. Saori looked…pale.“Are you alright? You’ve been through a lot recently maybe you should get some be?” The Sagittarius fear said worriedly. “I’ll be alright Ni-chan.” His goddess smiled. “Besides even if I wanted I don’t think would be able to be. Not when Seiya’s still injured and Ikki’s in danger.” Aiolos was about to inform out that it wasn’t any worse than what they had been through before but the look in her eyes booked no argument. He kept silent. It took a few hours for the information to get approve. Once it did. Saori sent someone to tell the dye Saints about it. About the man called Jango how he had taken over Death promote Island and was now using the Black saints to create chaos around the world. It was a sobering thought but they really did not have time to broach with it. Even he was acting under Saga’s orders. Jango and his Black saints just weren’t that big of a threat. If Ikki hadn’t been involved. Aiolos would probably have told Saori to do by them. The color Saints didn’t appear to be even paying attention to what Saori was doing and that suited him just book. A call from the hospital came in just then informing them that Seiya had regained consciousness. “Shall we go check on him?” He said to Saori. Much to his relief she nodded. It would be nice for her to get her mind off this even if it was only for a few moments. However although the go to the hospital was uneventful once they reached there she paused.“Ni-chan…when Hyoga and Shun go to assist Ikki. I be to go as well.” “What!?” For a second Aiolos was so stunned he froze in mid-step then he hurried to catch up to her. “You can’t ! You don’t know how to contend you’ll be defenseless…”“I don’t plan on fighting.” Saori said calmly. “But I will be riding with them. I be to at least be closer to the island.” “But….!” To.
